Pre Comp Week 3

Monday
Can’t believe i’m already up to week 3.
Not sure if my metabolism is kicking in or if its just a hungry week… but yesterday and today i’ve been really hungry! Going to add in that 5th or 6th meal to keep me going… even if its just a shake.
Went to the gym this morning as they were closing early. Weights day again… love this day.
I managed to do the skipping as my warm up cause I really want to have improved on those reps I did with Kim.
For some reason I was able to really push hard this morning. I upped the weight as much as I could and where I couldnt up the weight, I upped the reps instead. Also for the metabolic stuff I added in the 4 extra reps, 8 extra where I could to make up for not adding any last week lol. For the inchworms though i’m still on the same reps cause i’m trying to make myself go lower and lower each week.
Its sort of empowering being the only girl in the weights room when theres only big muscly guys there. I can do it too!

It was funny cause a guy came and asked me who I was training with. I decided that could be a compliment to me as well as Kim… obviously I actually looked like I was working out hard :)

Making up a massive batch of chicken soup and some tomato mince again to last the week. Yum! Keeps me right on track.

Tuesday
First day of clinical today and the first task of the day was to attend the giant morning tea they had planned. Muffins, cream, lamington, biscuits. Everything I love lol. But its actually was easy to say no, I wasn’t dying to eat any of it. I had my protein shake and that was great. Then chicken soup at lunch which turned out absolutely delicious! I managed to fit in five meals today and haven’t been overly hungry at all. Lots of water.
Did my metabolic training tonight. Skipping is definitely getting easier. Jumping jacks, some what easier. Burpies – maybe slightly better at these but still can only do 10 and still they kill me. I think i’m getting fitter – i hope so anyway. My shoulders are looking much much better. I might post a picture just of my shoulders and chest cause its looks quite good for me lol.
Lets see if I can survive tomorrow.

Wednesday
This was 2nd weights workout day. So the last two weeks I’ve really struggled with this one… have been completely dead by the end of the workout, and pretty dead right through it actually. This one takes me a bit longer then Monday’s one, but still under 1 hour. But this time I was rocking through it! I upped the weights a reasonable amount and I upped the reps and I was still able to really crank through it! Much easier then the last two weeks. Its the metabolic at the end which puts me on the floor lol so I still ended up crawling to the car thinking “why am I doing this again?”. But yea some definite improvements with that workout!
Again I can’t fault the food. We had another shared morning tea at clinical lol! This time with pies and sausage rolls and club sandwiches. A little bit harder to resist but I still just had my shake and was content. Go me!

Thursday
I’m a bit disappoint tonight. So had my long day of clinical and came home really not motivated to do my treadmill sprints. But anyway I had dinner and about 45 minutes later I dragged myself to the gym.
I couldn’t even keep up with the walking on only level 4.5!!!! My legs were burning and I felt like I needed to run at that speed instead of walk. Then I could barely keep it at 8 for the sprints. I had the stitch, my legs were burning, i was super close to vomitting, I honestly just wanted to cry it was so hard.
I don’t understand cause last week I rocked it out for those sprints and still felt like I could of done more. But today i had to drop the speed and was still absolutely shattered right the way through.
Maybe it was just that i’m super tired from having such full days compared to my lazy lazy days of no work or clinical for the past 3 months. Also maybe had something to do with my legs being pretty sore still from yesterdays workout. I dont know but i’m really gutted. Only went 2.77k’s compared with last weeks 3.3.
But food was perfect again so that a positive.
Weigh day tomorrow so I really really hope there is some progress there. And training with Kim which will kill me cause i’ve got a completely full day from 7am and for me thats like a marathon seeing as I literally have sat on my ass for the last 3 months of uni holidays – oh apart from my workouts which were my only daily activity lol!!

Friday
Only a 0.4kg loss this week. A bit disappointed with that. But I guess I have to keep in mind that thats 2.4kgs in 4 weeks. And 4.8kgs since starting with Kim. Thats a substantial amount of weight and I need to remember that its going to be slow, just wish I could keep it at at least 0.5kgs.
Training with Kim tonight – hope I can put in a good effort, i’m exhausted today.

Weekend
Had my cheat night yesterday. KFC chicken wrap and some potato chips.
Saturday was my rest day in terms of workout. This was the first day that I haven’t eaten perfectly on a non cheat day. I had a bbq with all my gf’s and took some steak with me and had steak and salad. But also had a mushroom that had been cooked in butter. And then had a hand full of pita bread chips. I feel so guilty about eating it!!! Not doing that ever again. Sticking to the menu completely.

Sunday again I only ate what I was meant to but have only had 3 meals. I’ll have a shake after my field workout that i’m going to go and do now.

Week 3 complete! Thats 1/4 of the way there and 2.4 kilos down!

Oh yea and going to attempt the boxing class tomorrow – super scared! but that means I’ll cut out 2 metabolic sessions. So Monday – boxing, Tuesday – weights or TRX, Wednesday – metabolic, Thursday – weights or TRX, Friday go for a small walk, Saturday rest day, I’m going sailing, Sunday weights in the morning.
