Training Week 4

Nearly a month! Woo hoo!

Monday
I was good with food but did have a tiny bit of scone that mum had on the bench. I was starving after clinical and will power escaped me.
Went and did the boxing class that Kim’s been doing. I was so scared about doing, I nearly drove back home when I got there lol. But actually I had soooo much fun! The fitness stuff is hard work but it was managable… not as impossible as I thought it would be. The boxing stuff was super fun! I need to get wraps and some gloves though cause I felt my wrist sort of crunch a few times when i was jabbing the trainers.
I then was bad again and had what mum had cooked for dinner. Chicken and veges but had some sort of creamy sauce. I just had a tiny bit and filled it up with beans and broccoli. And a post workout shake.

Tuesday
I’m not too sore today which is surprising. My legs are a bit stiff and my upper back is pretty sore but all in all i’m feeling pretty good.
This morning woke at 2am and it was really really sore and I couldn’t move it much. Today it has ached all day and is quite swollen but I have better movement in my fingers and thumb, just not wrist. I’m sure if I wrap it it should be fine for next week.
I’m just going to talk tonight instead of weights. Give my wrist a slight rest. So i’ll do weights tomorrow, sprints on Thursday, Weights friday, rest saturday and weights again on Sunday morning.
Been excellent with my food today which was kind of hard cause we got to a school today for clinical and this little wee 5 year old boy comes into the sick bay looking like death warmed up and holding his arm. He holds it up to show me and seriously it was like hanging down from the middle of his forearm. He’s completely snapped both his bones. So had to sit there holding that in place and take him to Starship, all while trying to not freak him out with this completely deformed looking arm. Poor little sod, he only started school last week!

Wednesday
Man this week is dragging on and on and on.
I feel like i’m saying the same thing over and over lol cause i’m sticking to everything pretty well and not having any bad effects or anything like that. May have to do a weekly blog instead of daily… then it won’t go on and on and on.
I needed to have some sort of carb today and I forgot to cook the pumpkin and all I had was potato. I have a very very small potato – definitely not a good choice but it was all I had and if I don’t eat the carb on weights day then I feel like crap for a couple of days afterwards.
Then went to the gym quite late – not till 8 which is really late for me. Did my Monday’s weights workout, probably should of pushed a bit harder, I just had no energy. After that workout I did an incline walk on the treadmill for 25 minutes.

Kim and Jase are the most super people ever! Seeing as I blog like crazy they made me win their competition and I got heaps of free stuff! Not just samples either… FULL size protein powder… the massive one, and a good one. And Sub-Q – I LOVE THIS STUFF!! Its like Christmas.
So everyone else really should start blogging too, you get invaluable information from Kim and Jase and the more people the better to share around knowledge and motivation.

Tried the protein powder after my workout. Its so much sweeter then the crappy one I was using. I was using Horley’s Sculpt which has been pretty good but it definitely isn’t sweet and it took me a long to get used to it. Now I think its gonna take a bit to get used to the sweetness of this new one.

Thursday
Urgh i’m soooo hungry. I really want to have the whole weekend off and eat my normal food.
This week has been hard! I’ve had waaay too many things I shouldn’t, just like the crum of mums scone, I dipped my finger in the peanut butter tonight, I had one of those fuju’s last weekend, and the small potato last night as my carb. Oh no and the tiny slither off the pita bread pizza. Man it all adds up if your not careful. My weight loss is going to be very slim this week… if anything at all. Hope its not a gain!! I’ll cry.
I couldn’t do the treadmill sprints tonight cause i’m so exhausted so tomorrow will have to be weights and a high incline walk again. That means i’ve had 2 rest days eeek!!
I’m going to do the metabolic workout on Saturday before I go sailing, and then do some swimming as well. And i’m going to take a cooked chicken with me and salad so I don’t have to worry about eating the cheese and crackers and all that stuff.

Friday
Ok quick recap… good with food again today. Went to the gym and did my weights session. This is the one I normally do on Wednesdays – definitely getting easy, except for the metabolic at the end.
Forgot to mention that I lost 0.7 kilos this week. Taking me to 3.1 kilos for this 12 week challenge. And 5.5 kilos all up :)

Weekend
Went sailing all day today which was awesome!!!. I am red as a lobster! Eeeek! Not good.
Not so good with food, had a bit of bread. Cheat meal tonight so I can just write this whole day off and get straight back into a super day tomorrow. Need to post some pictures of progress. I’ll try do that now.

Its the back at the back of the arms that have really changed! And if you look at the knees, I think there are changes there as well.
