Homemade Bircher Muesli

Make this perfect and healthy Homemade Bircher Muesli.

A Bircher Muesli in itself is already packed with the essential nutrition you need for the day. With the addition of ​Lifestream CC Flax, you'll get more nutrients like magnesium and calcium for strong bones and teeth, and healthy digestion. It also contains antioxidants. ​

Here's how. 

 

​Ingredients:

  • ½ cup rolled oats (gluten-free if required)
  • 100mls Almond Milk
  • Juice and zest of 1 orange
  • ½ apple peeled and grated
  • ½ cup of coconut yogurt
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 heap teaspoon Lifestream CC Flax
  • 1 teaspoon natural sweetener

 

Directions:

  1. Soak the oats and dried fruit in the orange juice overnight.
  2. Put the grated apple in a bowl, along with the heaped teaspoon of Lifestream CC Flax.
  3. Add the oats and the almond milk to bring to a loose porridgey consistency.
  4. Sprinkle with the ginger, natural sweetener, and cinnamon and stir.
  5. Add a dollop of yogurt, plus a drizzle of honey if you have a sweet tooth.
  6. Serve immediately.
