Vitaco Health (NZ) Limited, the manufacturer of Balance, has identified a labelling issue impacting a range of products. These products remain safe to consume. A sweetener supplied to us as thaumatin, a natural sweetener, was instead sucralose, an artificial sweetener. Sucralose is widely used and permitted in New Zealand and Australia. The labels incorrectly identify the sweetener and, in some cases, state that the products only contain natural sweeteners or no artificial sweeteners. We are addressing the impacted product labels and have notified the regulator. Please contact our consumer services team producthelp@vitaco.co.nz for further information.
