Jase: Yes. Red yeast rice can contain statin-like compounds, so it shouldn’t be treated as an everyday food ingredient.
Do not use if pregnant, breastfeeding or likely to become pregnant. Speak with a doctor before use, particularly if taking statins or other medicines, or if you have liver or kidney disease, thyroid problems, heavy alcohol use, or prior statin intolerance. Stop and seek advice if unexplained muscle pain, weakness or dark urine occurs. Keep out of reach of children.
Dose (adults): Take 1 tablet 1 to 2 times daily, preferably with food.
Caution: Do not use if you are pregnant, may become pregnant, or are breast feeding, because using this product may harm the foetus. For adults only.
