Kimmi: It is a xylitol-and-mānuka-honey nasal spray for children aged three and over. It may help rinse and moisten the nasal passages, but it should not be presented as treating an infection, allergy, or ear condition.
Jase: Anything important for parents to check?
Kimmi: Avoid it with a known honey allergy, use the age-specific directions, and discard the bottle six months after opening. Ongoing breathing trouble, pain, fever, or persistent symptoms need medical advice.
Children 3 to 6 years: Apply one spray into each nostril once daily.
Children 6+ years: Apply one spray into each nostril twice daily.
Can be used long-term and is well tolerated.
Precautions and Contraindications: Avoid if known allergy to honey. Discard after 6 months from opening the bottle.
Not recommended due to lack of studies during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
